The new Happy Ocean model was shown at the recent exhibition “Baselworld 2017”. This time, the brand decided to change the focus and have released a watch for scuba diving, which is water resistant up to 300 meters and has a 40-millimeter case made of stainless steel. The dark blue dial has luminous hour markers and the famous “dancing” diamonds, which complement the model NATO strap made of nylon.

The company, Panerai, has introduced a new model in two variations of the 42mm Panerai Luminor Submersible 1950 3 Days. The steel case version is water resistant to 300 meters (30 bar) and the rose gold case is water-resistant up to 100 meters (10 bar). Due to the coating of Super-LumiNova® applied to hands and dial, the readings on the dial are clearly visible in daylight and in the dark, with a minute hand and a rivet bezel in position “12” glowing in bright blue instead of the traditional fluorescent green (colour of all other marks). This allows one to always accurately calculate the time to dive.

Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Diver Chronograph

Audemars Piguet released its new collection of Royal Oak Offshore Diver Chronograph, made in bright summer colours, such as tangerine, lime, lemon and blue. Bright colour is also allocated to the internal diver’s bezel, allowing you to measure the dive time for the best clarity readings. The new water resistant model is resistant up to 100 meters. Its 42 mm case is fitted with sapphire crystals, with anti-reflective coating over the dial and the inside back cover. The series is limited to 375 copies.

OMEGA Seamaster Planet Ocean “Big Blue” – the color of the ocean depths

Watch house OMEGA has created a new model of ceramic blue with orange GMT scale. The watch case diameter of 45.5 mm complements the gleaming hands and indexes in 18-carat white gold with a luminous coating of Super-LumiNova white. The blue rubber strap with orange stitching and edges of the same colour are made according to the texture of the fabric. It has an antimicrobial coating and is supplemented with a ceramic Deployant clasp and its inner side is decorated with a wave pattern.

Oris Great Barrier Reef Limited Edition II

This year, the Swiss watchmakers of Maurice Lacroix have specialised in the production of mechanical timekeepers; introducing a new limited edition model: The Great Barrier Reef Limited Edition II, which was released for the purpose of financing environmental measures to protect the Great Barrier Reef. The novelty has a round case with a diameter of 46.0 mm and is made of stainless steel. It is water resistant to 500 metres. The back cover of the watch case is engraved with a map image of Australia. The sapphire glass with inner anti-reflective coating protects the black dial with applied index hour markers and hands. The minute track on the dial is coloured in yellow. The model is released in quantities of only 2000 numbered copies.

Rolex Sea-Dweller 50th anniversary

The Rolex Sea-Dweller was specifically developed for deep diving and is water resistant up to 1220 metres. The watch is made of 904L stainless steel, featuring exceptional strength. The latest system Chromalight display on the dial improves the legibility in the dark, but its distinctive blue glow lasts for as much as eight hours. In this model, the Sea-Dweller is equipped with calibre 3235 – a new generation movement, entirely developed and manufactured by Rolex, with different significant advantages on parameters, such as accuracy, power reserve, shock resistance, resistance to magnetic fields and robustness.

IWC Aquatimer Chronograph Edition Sharks

In order to draw world attention to the problems of endangered shark species around the world, IWC released a limited edition of the Aquatimer Chronograph Edition Sharks; water resistant to 300 metres. The design of the model meets all the requirements of a diving watch. The large and high-contrast numerals, markers and hands with bright luminescent coating are exceptional. For the main colour of the face, the designers chose a light shade of grey similar to the colour of the skin of most sharks. On steel, the case back is engraved with the image of a flock of sharks. The watch is released in 500 copies, with a black rubber strap and with a standard steel buckle.

Superocean II 42 is the ideal model for divers, combining ultra-sporty appearance with incomparable characteristics, including water resistance up to 500 metres. The watch is available in two sizes – 46 and 42 mm – and they are reminiscent of the functional and elegant design of the legendary 1950s. Black, blue or green rotating in one direction bezel is in harmony with the different colours of the dial. In addition, the bezel may be adorned with a ring of 18k gold. The original decoration of this famous classic model is emphasized with a steel mesh bracelet or a perforated sporty rubber strap.

Chronographs from the collection of Marine are not just popular watches. These are the faces of the company, Ulysse Nardin. The Maxi Marine Diver Chronograph combines the best from the collections of Marine and Marine Diver Chronograph, with embossed edging. The size of the case diameter is 42.7 mm, with sub-dials and stylized portholes in position “3” and “9”. As a bonus, the rubber strap has gold inserts and a folding butterfly clasp. The watch case is made from 18K rose gold and the dial colour is silver. It is water resistant to 200 metres. Inside the housing, an automatic movement with a power reserve of 42 hours has been installed.
