Marina Razumova: “Every Woman needs to find her path”
The modern woman often asks herself the question, “Which path is best to choose? Should I devote myself to a career, with its frantic pace of life, or should I choose my family, dedicating myself to the house? We discussed with Marina Razumova-George, a lawyer, owner of the company Enter Winglobe Managment Ltd, based in Nicosia, and co-owner of a women’s health club called Studio Figura, by the sea in Limassol.
Marina, please tell us what path you have chosen?
I graduated with honours from Tyumen State University (Faculty of State and Law). Then, life happened, so I was in London for a few years and then in Cyprus. I worked in a large company specialising in international representation, business restructuring and corporate conflicts. At some point, I began to have my own projects and I felt that I needed more freedom in their implementation.
Then, surely, you have a personal success formula? After all, running a business is not easy, especially in niches, where competitors are spending thousands of Euros or more for promotion and advertising.
The main reason for becoming an owner of a business is the complete freedom that I enjoy to implement my ideas and decisions. I never wanted to be better than others and tried to be unique! I believe that every woman is special. No matter which activity a woman chooses for herself, she must listen to herself and appreciate what brings her pleasure and satisfaction. This may not happen immediately, but things will start to happen.
It is never necessary to follow the stereotypes about being a woman. It is important to feel one’s destiny and to understand what brings satisfaction. A woman should access and assess her abilities, set a goal and go for it. The words of satisfied customers who recommend you to their friends and partners are very high rewards. I have found that the lawyer is somewhat similar to the doctor or to the psychologist or to the layperson.
What helps you to solve and overcome a difficult situation?
Being a team leader can be difficult because every person requires an individual approach. I am famous for my insistence, but to be demanding, one must start first with you. The main resource is to think of the employees. Surely, I never needed to solve problems on emotion. Sometimes, emotions can rule you, but, with experience, I realised that it is better to take a pause and ponder. Also, in situations when traditional methods don’t work, I stop and try to find a solution in a radically different way, often relying on female intuition.
You are a co-owner of Studio Figura salon by the sea. Why is there a desire to engage in precisely this industry?
I, as like every woman, want to look good. Seriously, the beauty industry is developing dynamically and combines creativity and business. In this business, I was attracted by the opportunity to inspire faith in every woman to take life in their own hands and find their personality.
Today, we have two conceptual women’s clubs in Nicosia (owner, Sandra Samuityte) and Limassol. Our unique lymphatic drainage simulator, Roll Shaper, with infrared rays help to model the figure, reduce weight, reduce body fat, give the skin elasticity and reduce cellulite. We provide a pleasant atmosphere in our salon and help women to always look perfect. For the past 10 years, worldwide, 734 similar salons have been created in Europe, CIS and USA.
Due to this methodology, we have thousands of satisfied customers who have achieved their goals and confirm the effectiveness of our programme. Roll Shaper is the revolution and evolution of weight loss machines. It is completely safe and is capable of correcting any areas of the body, without surgery or side effects.
You are a mother, a wife and a successful entrepreneur. How do you manage to cope with all these responsibilities?
First of all, everything that I do, I really love. My life credo is: “No problem! If there is a problem, by solving it, you become wiser and more experienced”. For example, it is a difficult time for anyone when you need to revise and restructure a business. Because I try to help my clients to save, it is important to continually improve my knowledge and skills, to develop myself as a person. What helps me is the ability to turn off the “excellent pupil syndrome” and to not show my perfectionism. Most importantly, it is my family, with whom I can afford to relax.
If family is important to you, why did you not devote yourself to it?
As I said, every woman needs to find her purpose and define her place and role in society. At some point in my life I realised that I do my best in this life at all times. The important thing is not what or whom you dedicate your life to. The main thing is to do your job very well, whether it is parenting, cooking, writing, painting, books, crafts, wine, gardening or design. Then, you can give comfort to your family and others; to establish a harmonious relationship with them. The world around us becomes better. I believe in love. This is what I often write about in poems.
