Katerina Manou. New services for the new world
Could you please share with us some useful information about Regus?
The company was founded in 1989 when our current CEO, Mark Dixon, recognised, from his personal experience, the lack of adequate working space for those who often travel and work on the go.
Twenty-seven years later, Regus developed into a world leader in providing ready workspaces and work solutions, offering services to 2.3 million companies. We offer modern and well-equipped workplaces, with flexible contracts where one can work from one hour to many years and, also, a wide range of solutions for businesses and for the contemporary entrepreneur, like virtual offices, meeting rooms, co-working spaces, etc.
What are Regus’ strategic objectives?
Through our global network and communication with our customers, we continuously monitor the developments in the labour field and the needs that come up for businesses. We design and implement products and services which will allow everyone to work effectively, wherever he/she is.
Why is Regus the world leader as a provider of flexible working spaces?
Our company is at the top because it realizes the current requirements and constantly designs new solutions and innovative products in order to enable its customers to focus on their work and avoid unnecessary costs. At the same time, Regus constantly develops its network by providing its customers with easy and direct access to new markets.
Where is Regus active around the world and how did you decide to invest in Cyprus?
We are in 107 countries, in more than 1,000 cities and 2,850 points and are constantly developing our network. Cyprus is a strategic choice for our company.
We believe in the positive prospects of the Cypriot economy and the opportunities that Cyprus has to become a business hub. We extended our network beyond Nicosia and Limassol. Soon, we will operate in Larnaca as well, while we hope that our network will expand to the airport and to other points.
Where is this new business centre in Limassol?
Our new business centre is located in Victory House, at 205 Makariou Avenue. It is a strategic point, in one of the most beautiful and modern buildings of the city and is designed in a way that allows everyone to work comfortably, pleasantly and efficiently. We offer the latest equipment and solutions to meet all requirements of a modern enterprise in terms of offices, meeting rooms, virtual office, reception services, hot desk services, videoconferencing services and 24-hour access to workplaces.
What are the challenges that you face at the moment?
The world is changing rapidly and for companies to remain competitive, they should respond to current requirements by offering innovative products that provide solutions. We are constantly launching new products, offering new solutions and helping companies to adjust to the new economy. For example, for people travelling often abroad, we offer our Businessworld cards that allow them to access all our centres around the world. We also have business centres in some of the largest airports in the world, offering our services to business travellers.
How about your future plans?
There is a plan for growing, with more points in Cyprus, which should (however) be aligned with our global development. As the world evolves and the opportunities increase for those who wish to work remotely or on the go, so we will invest in order to enable workers to exploit these opportunities, wherever they are.
